Topic of practical classes: Recognizing appropriate standards and conformity assessment procedures when performing work tasks.

Unit Themes:

  1. Selection of cutting tools and cutting parameters on the basis of mechanical properties of workpiece materials read in manuals or standards.
  2. Selection of cutting tools for making keyways made in accordance with the Polish Standard
  3. Selection of drill diameters in accordance with the Polish Standard for making holes that will be tapped

OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE CLASS:

Ability to use Polish Standards, workshop manuals and catalog and information materials on cutting tools

OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

  • Based on the type and strength data of the workpiece material, the learner is able to select the correct geometry of the cutting tool using available information in paper or electronic form
  • The student, on the basis of the Polish Standards and technological documentation of the product, is able to select the appropriate cutter for making a keyway on the machine shaft.
  • The student is able to select the correct cutting parameters when making a keyway
  • The student, on the basis of technological documentation and available guides, is able to select a drill bit to make a hole for a tapping tool
